A quieter day. We headed to Monet’s Garden at Giverny, a 45 mins train trip out of Paris. Oh what a difference a few days make when you
can navigate around an unfamiliar city.
We caught the train at the civilized hour of 9:30 to Vernon and then,
shared a taxi with two American women to Monet’s home and garden.

Lots of visitors, including school groups and one kinder group - was that smart? Probably not but they were cute.
We’ll leave it to the photos to show the
beauty of the garden. Mark is not such
as a keen gardener but he was blown away. The lily pond was probably the highlight but
the simple house was also impressive. We’ll go to the D’Orsay Museum and L’Orangerie
tomorrow, having seen his inspiration before we see the paintings.
